ICC Test Rankings: Jasprit Bumrah and Shubman Gill see declines

The latest ICC Test rankings show shifts for several prominent players. Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has dropped from second to third place in the bowling rankings, trailing Australia’s Mitchell Starc, who holds the number one position with 872 rating points, and New Zealand’s Matt Henry, who is second with 861 points.

In the batting rankings, Indian captain Shubman Gill fell two spots to ninth place following his performance during the tour of Sri Lanka. Rishabh Pant remains the highest-ranked Indian batter at seventh, while Yashasvi Jaiswal maintains his position at eleventh. Sri Lankan batter Sonal Dinusha saw a significant rise, moving 29 places to reach 25th.

Additionally, England’s Ollie Robinson climbed to fifth place in the bowling rankings following strong performances against Pakistan. Bumrah’s availability for upcoming series remains subject to fitness clearance following a knee injury.
