Ernesto Alejandro Perez-Garcia, a Mexican national, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Redondo Beach, California. Authorities state that Perez-Garcia has illegally re-entered the United States five times and made four additional attempts.
Perez-Garcia has a criminal history dating back to 2003, which includes offenses related to alcohol, controlled substances, and driving, as well as allegations of making terroristic threats. During the arrest on a Thursday morning, Perez-Garcia initially denied his identity to agents but admitted who he was after being shown a previous mugshot.
Following his arrest, Perez-Garcia attributed his recent legal troubles to alcohol consumption, stating that it was the “mistake” that led to his capture during a routine morning walk.
