Data provided by ICE to the University of California, Berkeley’s Deportation Data Project indicates that the agency has made 368,135 arrests during the 2026 fiscal year. The surge in enforcement follows increased funding from Congress, which has allowed ICE to hire approximately 12,000 new agents and officials.

Texas and Florida were central to the July figures, accounting for nearly 20,000 of the total arrests through local and state law enforcement cooperation agreements. Additionally, a recent two-week operation in the Maryland and Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C., resulted in 1,328 arrests.

While the administration has shifted from high-profile urban operations to less visible tactics, such as arrests during traffic stops, the volume of enforcement continues to rise. This trend aligns with the administration's stated goal of achieving mass deportations.
