ICE conducts targeted operations in Fort Worth as surveillance capabilities expand

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were confirmed to be operating in Fort Worth, Texas, over a recent weekend. Fort Worth police stated that agents were in the city seeking specific individuals and noted that the activity was not a random occurrence. While social media reports highlighted activity in the Riverside neighborhood, local law enforcement clarified that the Fort Worth Police Department does not direct or conduct ICE operations.

Separately, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) is expanding its vehicle surveillance capabilities. The agency intends to renew its use of the Berla iVe vehicle forensics platform, which allows investigators to recover navigation histories, GPS logs, and data from connected mobile devices. Additionally, HSI has issued a procurement notice for specialized covert GPS tracking devices from Ensurity Mobile Corp. to facilitate real-time vehicle monitoring.
