Ice Cream Festival draws crowds to Njivice, Croatia
The Ice Cream Festival is taking place in the coastal village of Njivice on the Kvarner Riviera from 6 to 12 July. The event runs along the Ribarska obala and Lukobrana and is hosted within the Aminess Resort complex. Seventeen ice‑cream producers, including local brands such as Bourbon, Vijo, Passage, Stric, Fratelli and Fontana, as well as guest makers, offer a wide range of flavours and desserts, from handmade Frozzie ice cream to bubble waffles and soft‑ice treats.
Family‑friendly activities feature a Kids Corner with workshops, a kids disco, street performers and evening concerts. Performers this week include Groovers, Infinity Band, Venus and a finale concert by the group Vatra. Andrea Orlić Čutul, director of the Omišalj tourist board, said, “We are extremely satisfied that the Ice Cream Festival this year attracted a large number of visitors and has become an event that brings together families, lovers of good food, music and summer atmosphere.” Visitors from across Croatia and neighboring Slovenia have been enjoying the festival’s food, music and seaside ambience.
