Ice hockey preseason results: Eislöwen win derby, Wölfe defeated by Leipzig

In recent ice hockey preseason action, the Dresdner Eislöwen secured a victory in their derby against the Lausitzer Füchse. The Eislöwen established an early lead through goals from Sebastian Gorcik and Ricardo Hendreschke. Although the Füchse managed to narrow the gap to 2-1 before the first intermission, the Eislöwen extended their lead to 3-1 in the second period via Tomas Sýkora. In a separate matchup, the Selber Wölfe suffered a 0-5 defeat against the KSW Icefighters Leipzig. The Wölfe struggled offensively against Leipzig goalkeeper Hoffmann, who recorded a shutout. Leipzig scored early through Stefanson and added goals via Roach and others to secure the win. The Selber Wölfe faced additional challenges, including player injuries during warm-ups and disciplinary issues during the game.
