Ice hockey preseason: Zeller Eisbären and Augsburger Panther secure victories

In recent ice hockey preseason action, the Zeller Eisbären secured a 4-3 victory against the Passau Blackhawks. Despite an early lead by Passau through D’Acunto, the Eisbären equalized via a Wilfan deflection just before the first intermission. Max Coatta led the offensive charge for Zell with two goals, including a notable strike into the top corner. Although Passau fought back to equalize in the final period, Jezovsek scored the decisive goal for the Eisbären to seal the win.

Meanwhile, the Augsburger Panther concluded their preparation phase with a 5-4 overtime victory against Villach in Austria. After falling behind early to a goal by Maximilian Rebernig, Augsburg responded with quick goals from Donald J. Busdeker and Enrico Henriquez. Despite losing their lead to effective counterattacks by Villach, the Panther managed to secure the win in extra time, showing improved stability in their penalty killing ahead of the upcoming DEL season.
