IDC Frontier reports ransomware attack on IDCF Cloud

IDC Frontier has confirmed that its cloud service, ‘IDCF Cloud’, has been targeted by a third-party ransomware attack. The incident began around 3:40 AM on October 7, 2026, specifically affecting systems within the East Japan Region 1.

The attack has impacted 495 companies and local governments that utilize the service. In response to the breach, the company has disconnected the network and shut down systems in the affected region to prevent secondary damage and potential data leaks.

IDC Frontier is currently working to identify the entry point of the intrusion and is investigating the full scope of the impact. As a precautionary measure, the company has also temporarily suspended access to management consoles in other regions while verifying their security.
