ICE reports record summer arrests of over 145,000 migrants

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported record-breaking arrest numbers over the summer, totaling more than 145,000 suspected illegal migrants over a three-month period. The surge in enforcement was driven by increased cooperation with local law enforcement in cities such as Atlanta, Houston, Memphis, New York, and San Francisco.

Monthly data shows a steady increase in activity: approximately 44,000 arrests occurred in June, 50,208 in July, and a record 50,925 in August. Most arrests took place at airports, courthouses, and ICE check-in locations. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin stated that the agency continues to set new monthly records in its efforts to defend the homeland.
