Icelandic actor and broadcaster Steinn Ármann Magnússon has died at his home in Hafnarfjörður at the age of 61. A prominent figure in Icelandic media, Magnússon rose to fame in the 1990s as part of the comedy duo Radíusbræður, helping to pioneer stand-up comedy in the country.

His diverse career spanned radio, television, film, and theatre. He was a well-known radio presenter for stations such as Bylgjan and was particularly recognized by younger generations for his work in children’s programming and voice acting. Magnússon was also a musician, playing bass for the band Kátir piltar.
