According to a report by luxury travel company Scott Dunn, U.S. bookings to Iceland have increased by more than 300% year-over-year. The destination is gaining traction for its unique natural features, such as black-sand beaches and volcanic lagoons, and its relative accessibility from the U.S. East Coast via nonstop flights.

In addition to trending adventure destinations, historic European locations are being highlighted for autumn travel. Notable seasonal escapes include Schloss Frankenberg in Germany’s Franconia wine region and Relais I Due Roccoli overlooking Lake Iseo in Italy. These destinations offer seasonal appeal through vineyard harvests and historic architecture as the summer season transitions into autumn.
