Icelandair expands network with St. Louis and Madrid routes
Icelandair has announced the expansion of its flight network for the 2027 summer season, adding nonstop service to St. Louis, Missouri, and resuming flights to Madrid, Spain.
Starting May 14, 2027, nonstop flights between St. Louis and Iceland will operate up to four times a week through October 24, utilizing Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft. This expansion is supported by an increased partnership with Southwest Airlines, the largest carrier at St. Louis Lambert International Airport, to facilitate connections between North America, Iceland, and Europe.
Additionally, Icelandair will resume service to Madrid starting April 9, with flights scheduled two to three times per week until October 25. This move reintroduces competition on the route between Iceland and the Spanish capital.
