Jet2 flight evacuated at Tenerife South due to bomb threat

A Jet2 flight traveling from Tenerife South to London Stansted was evacuated on Friday morning following a bomb threat. A passenger claimed to have a bomb in their luggage before the aircraft was scheduled to depart at 11:20.

Following the threat, security protocols were activated and the plane was evacuated. The Guardia Civil conducted a thorough two-hour inspection of the aircraft and passenger luggage. The search concluded that the threat was a false alarm, and no explosives or suspicious items were found.

The flight, LS1536, was eventually cleared to depart at 13:46, approximately two and a half hours behind schedule. It arrived at London Stansted around 18:00. A spokesperson for Jet2 apologized to passengers for the delay and inconvenience caused by the incident.
