Learjet 60 crash in Florida kills nine, including two children
A Learjet 60 private plane crashed into a residential neighborhood in Greenacres, near West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, November 1. All nine people on board were killed, including seven passengers and two pilots.
The victims have been identified as American tech entrepreneur Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp, and their children, four-year-old Emma and two-year-old Charlie. Also among the deceased were family friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, along with Anitu Mariu Cetina, who assisted with childcare. The two pilots were 55-year-old Jeffrey Gregory and 20-year-old assistant pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the cause of the crash. Preliminary findings from investigators suggest that parts of the aircraft may have detached before impact, and weather conditions are also being scrutinized.
