IceWM 4.1.0 released with alpha fix and new focus‑control option

The lightweight X11 window manager IceWM has been updated to version 4.1.0, released on 6 August 2025 by developer Gijs Berkers. The update addresses a regression in alpha blending that caused visual artifacts on some GPUs by defaulting the Alpha setting to false, improving video performance and stability.

New functionality includes an ignoreUserTime option that lets users disregard the user‑interaction timestamp reported by selected applications when deciding window focus, and a mousemove command added to the icesh command‑line tool for script‑driven cursor movement. Additional fixes tighten configuration parsing, resolve a _NET_STARTUP_ID parsing bug, and correct the order of X11 resource cleanup to prevent shutdown errors. Translations have been refreshed for Ukrainian, Turkish, Greek, Georgian, Danish, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
