ICEYE and OroraTech partner for wildfire monitoring

ICEYE and OroraTech have announced a partnership to provide integrated wildfire intelligence by combining thermal satellite data with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) observations. The collaboration aims to cover the full lifecycle of a wildfire event, from early detection to post-event damage assessment.

OroraTech’s thermal data is used to identify hotspots and track active fire fronts. This is complemented by ICEYE’s SAR technology, which can observe through smoke and clouds to assess structural impacts on buildings and infrastructure. By integrating these services, the companies provide a unified view of how fires progress through both natural terrain and populated areas.

The service is designed for emergency management agencies, utilities, and insurers. Emergency responders can use the data to coordinate resources, utilities can monitor threats to network assets, and insurers can more efficiently process claims by linking fire activity directly to structural damage.
