ICEYE expands global operations with new entities in Korea, India, and Netherlands

ICEYE is expanding its global footprint by establishing new local entities in South Korea, India, and the Netherlands. The company has opened offices in Seoul, New Delhi, and Amsterdam to support the sale of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite solutions and to integrate into local technological ecosystems.

In South Korea, the newly formed ICEYE Korea is led by Director Eric Rhee. The branch aims to serve the defense and intelligence sectors with advanced reconnaissance, observation, and surveillance (ISR) capabilities. ICEYE has also signed an agreement with Seoul National University to pursue scientific research in SAR radar, small satellites, and artificial intelligence. The partnership includes plans to establish the SNU-ICEYE Cooperation Center to focus on satellite operation, data processing, and disaster response.

In India, the company intends to support the defense sector and develop local manufacturing capabilities. This expansion aligns with the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ program, which seeks to increase India’s industrial self-reliance through local supply chains, engineering, and component production.
