ICEYE expands SAR satellite constellation with ICEYE-X62

ICEYE, a Finnish-Polish commercial Earth observation company, operates a growing constellation of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) microsatellites. These satellites utilize phased-array radar antennas to provide high-resolution ground imagery through cloud cover, smoke, rain, and darkness.

The ICEYE-X62, a 120 kg spacecraft, was launched on November 28, 2025, from Vandenberg Space Force Base via a SpaceX Falcon 9 rideshare. It operates in a sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of approximately 532 x 551 km. The company has launched 39 satellites to date, with a high reliability rate, and its fleet can revisit specific locations as frequently as every six hours.

ICEYE's data products are utilized by government and commercial sectors for purposes including defense, maritime monitoring, disaster response, and insurance. The company is headquartered in Espoo, Finland, and maintains offices in Poland, Luxembourg, and the United Kingdom.
