Icheon Rice Culture Festival to open on October 14

The 25th Icheon Rice Culture Festival is scheduled to begin on October 14, spanning five days at the Bokha River waterfront park. Organized under the theme ‘Abundant Harvest, Joy of Sharing,’ the festival has moved its location from the previous Agricultural Theme Park to the waterfront park to improve accessibility and convenience for visitors.

Key programs include a reenactment of the ‘Royal Tribute Procession’ from the Joseon Dynasty and the popular ‘2,000 Won for 2,000 People’ cauldron rice experience, where large-scale bibimbap is prepared in massive cauldrons. Other attractions feature a 600m rainbow rice cake pulling event, a rice master competition, and traditional tug-of-war games.

To support local economic revitalization, the festival will also host drone shows, a small business sale, and traditional moon-burning ceremonies. Organizers have arranged large-scale parking and free shuttle services to accommodate the expected influx of tourists.
