ICICI Prudential launches 10‑year iProtect Smart Plus life insurance in India

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has introduced a new 10‑year term life‑cover plan called iProtect Smart Plus. The product is aimed at individuals with high financial commitments such as home or business loans, education expenses, or other outstanding debts, offering coverage that aligns with a decade of peak financial responsibility.

Key features include a 100 % payout on terminal illness diagnosis, an instant claim support of ₹3 lakh, and complimentary health‑wellness services valued up to ₹67,100. The insurer highlighted its industry‑leading claim‑settlement ratio of 99.3 % in Q1‑FY2027 and an average settlement turnaround of one day. Chief Product Officer Vikas Gupta said the plan reflects a customer‑first approach and supports the “Insurance for All by 2047” goal.
