ICT employment grows in Mato Grosso and Acre, Brasscom report

A report by Brasscom on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) formal employment shows varying trends across Brazilian states between 2023 and 2025.

Mato Grosso has reached 7,794 formal ICT jobs, representing a 2.5% expansion. This growth is largely driven by the digitalization and modernization of the agribusiness sector, creating demand for professionals in market intelligence, management, and field automation. The average salary in Mato Grosso is R$ 3,771, the second highest in the Center-West region after the Federal District.

In the North region, Acre recorded 695 formal ICT jobs, a 3.2% increase. While the total number of positions is small compared to neighbors like Amazonas and Pará, which together hold over 80% of the region's ICT jobs, Acre maintains an average salary of R$ 2,789. Overall, the North region saw a 5.4% growth in ICT employment, the highest among Brazil's five regions during the analyzed period.
