ICTSI secures US$1 billion 10-year loan from BDO Unibank

International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) has signed a US$1 billion term loan facility agreement with BDO Unibank, Inc. The agreement, signed on September 22, features a 10-year tenor. While the company disclosed the facility to the Philippine Stock Exchange, it did not specify the interest rate, payment schedule, or the exact intended use of the funds.

The financing supports ICTSI’s ongoing global investment and capital expenditure programme. The company has estimated capital expenditures of approximately US$740 million for 2026. Key projects include the Phase 3B expansion at Contecon Manzanillo in Mexico, as well as upgrades and expansions at various terminals in the Philippines, Brazil, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Honduras, Australia, and Ecuador.

In the first half of 2026, ICTSI reported a net income of $589.98 million, a 22% increase from the same period the previous year. Revenue from port operations rose 27% to $1.92 billion, driven by volume growth, tariff adjustments, and ancillary services.
