Idaho anti‑trans school bathroom law lawsuit dismissed

A legal challenge to Idaho's Senate Bill 1100, which requires K‑12 students to use restrooms, locker rooms and other facilities matching their biological sex, has been dropped. The lawsuit, filed by a seventh‑grade student from Boise High and the school's Sexuality and Gender Alliance club, was voluntarily dismissed without prejudice after the plaintiffs reported the death of one student and the graduation of another.

Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador said the law remains fully in effect, stating, "Idaho families can be confident that this law is fully in effect and will remain so." The statute also permits students to sue schools over perceived violations, with a minimum fine of $5,000 per incident.
