Idaho community gathers for Missing Person’s Day

Community members gathered at the Bonneville County Courthouse in Idaho Falls for Missing Person’s Day to honor more than 180 currently missing individuals across the state of Idaho. The event aimed to support the families of the missing and raise awareness for their cases.

The memorial included musical performances and speeches from law enforcement officials and family members. Megan Lentz, an abduction survivor who escaped from Keith “Mark” Glen Hescock in 2002, spoke publicly for the first time regarding her experience. Lentz emphasized that the identities and stories of missing persons should be remembered regardless of race, background, or income.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is requesting that anyone with information regarding missing persons in the area contact local law enforcement or submit anonymous tips through East Idaho Crime Stoppers.
