A Netflix documentary titled ‘The Idaho Murders: A College Nightmare’ has reached nearly 29 million viewers worldwide within two weeks of its release. The three-part series explores the 2022 killings of four students in Idaho, USA.

Amid the documentary's success, the man convicted of the murders and sentenced to life in prison has filed a motion to reopen the case. In a statement to the New York Times, he claimed his original confession was based on ‘false promises and blatant misinformation.’ The convicted individual, a former criminology doctoral student, stated he is not concerned about the possibility of the death penalty in a new trial.
