Idaho upsets Montana State to end 19-game winning streak
Idaho secured a 35-34 comeback victory over top-ranked Montana State in Moscow, Idaho, ending the defending FCS champion Bobcats’ 19-game winning streak.
Quarterback Joshua Wood led the Vandals' late surge, accounting for three touchdowns with 315 passing yards and 41 rushing yards. With no time remaining, Wood threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Jezirio and successfully rushed for the two-point conversion to seal the win. Jezirio finished the game with a career-high 147 receiving yards.
Montana State held a 34-20 lead early in the fourth quarter behind performances from Patrick Duchien, who recorded two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Despite the Bobcats' efforts, they missed a 52-yard field goal late in the game and failed to score in the final minute.
