IDB taps BUAP scholar Juan Pablo Prado Lallande for Pacific Alliance study

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) invited Dr. Juan Pablo Prado Lallande, a professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), to prepare an analysis of the Pacific Alliance member countries. The Pacific Alliance, comprising Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, seeks to deepen trade, cooperation and regional integration.

Dr. Prado Lallande took part in a working session held at Mexico’s Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, attended by representatives of the four member states and supported by the IDB. His role was to provide expertise on international cooperation and regional integration, contributing to a dialogue on the challenges and opportunities facing the alliance in the global context. He said the invitation was “a recognition of the research carried out at BUAP and an opportunity to contribute, from academia, to spaces of reflection in favor of regional integration.”
