IDCP begins construction of new dermatology unit in La Romana

The Dominican Institute of Dermatology and Skin Surgery (IDCP) has begun construction on a new dermatological unit in La Romana. This project is part of the institute's 60th-anniversary celebrations and aims to expand access to specialized dermatological services for the population in the eastern region of the country.

The facility will be built on land donated by Central Romana Corporation, Ltd. Dr. Emma Guzmán de Cruz, president of the Patronato de Lucha contra la Lepra, stated that the unit represents a long-term investment in community well-being and a mission to bring healthcare to areas where it is most needed.
