Ideal Heating raises £325,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support

Ideal Heating, a UK manufacturer of boilers and heat‑pumps and part of Groupe Atlantic UK and the Republic of Ireland, marked a £325,000 fundraising total for Macmillan Cancer Support. Since the partnership began in 2018, employees have organized sponsored runs, hikes, swims, bake sales, monthly “dress‑down Friday” contributions and a staff boiler‑purchase scheme, averaging more than £40,000 a year.

Miriam Moore, HR Director for Ideal Heating and Groupe Atlantic, said the milestone shows the company’s “community spirit and ethos” and that staff will continue to find new ways to raise money. Macmillan estimates the £325,000 can fund its Online Community platform for over a year, supporting more than 600,000 people affected by cancer in the UK, and can cover Cancer Information Nurse Specialists on the support line for more than 25 days. Hannah Wragg, Relationship Fundraising Manager at Macmillan, thanked Groupe Atlantic for its dedication and the variety of activities that made the achievement possible.
