IDEAL Holdings reports H1 2026 growth and Kymora investment

IDEAL Holdings reported strong financial results for the first half of 2026, characterized by a 27% increase in revenue to €274.6 million and an 18% rise in comparable net profits to €13.4 million. The company attributed this growth to organic expansion and the full consolidation of Barbara Stathis.

As part of its strategic focus, IDEAL Holdings invested €118.75 million to acquire a 25% stake in Kymora Limited from Oak Hill Advisors (OHA). This stake provides exposure to Byte Group, Attica Department Stores, and Barbara Stathis. The transaction was structured with €112.75 million in cash and €6 million in IDEAL shares. Following the deal, OHA will hold approximately 2% of IDEAL Holdings.

Chairman Lambros Papakonstantinou noted that the company evaluated ten potential investment opportunities between February 2025 and May 2026 but declined them due to high valuation demands that did not meet the group’s required internal rate of return (IRR) of at least 15%. Instead, the company chose to reinvest in its existing portfolio to maximize returns and mitigate risk.
