Ideice holds regional educational research congress in Mao

The Dominican Institute for Evaluation and Research of Educational Quality (Ideice) held the Regional Pre-Congress of Educational Evaluation and Research (Preie) for the Northern Region in Mao, Valverde. The event focused on promoting education through research, evaluation, and innovation.

During the congress, 50 specialized studies were shared, including results from 2025 national tests and diagnostic assessments from 2023-2024. The gathering brought together researchers, teachers, directors, students, and academic representatives from six educational regions to analyze evidence for designing public policies and classroom innovations.

Jesús Andújar Avilés, executive director of Ideice, emphasized that evaluation should go beyond measuring results to understanding educational reality for transformation. He called for turning evidence into concrete actions to improve learning outcomes.
