Identity security tools evolve to combat AI-driven attacks
Security professionals are addressing the rising threat of AI-driven privilege escalation and credential exploitation. As attackers use artificial intelligence to accelerate reconnaissance and move through systems at machine speed, traditional identity security—which often focuses solely on initial authentication—is becoming insufficient. Experts suggest a shift toward runtime identity security to evaluate and control access in real time while an identity is actively being used.
In response to these evolving threats, Bitwarden has launched Access Intelligence, a new enterprise security offering. The tool is designed to help IT teams identify, prioritize, and remediate credential risks. It flags weak, reused, or exposed passwords and provides a risk insights dashboard to prioritize critical applications. The system also includes automated workflows to alert employees of at-risk credentials and prompts them to implement stronger, randomly generated passwords to prevent unauthorized access.
