İdil Biret Festival concludes in Muğla

The 7th İdil Biret Festival, organized by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra, concluded after a four-day series of classical music performances across Datça, Bodrum, and Menteşe.

The festival opened in Datça with pianist Hande Dalkılıç performing Shostakovich’s 2nd Piano Concerto, alongside ICMA ‘Discovery Award’ winner Can Saraç, who performed Beethoven’s 4th Piano Concerto. Both were accompanied by the orchestra conducted by Deniz Oliveira Erdinç.

Subsequent performances included the Barcarol Trio in Menteşe and the Hitit Trio in Bodrum. The festival concluded on September 17 in Menteşe, featuring pianist Cem Babacan performing Saint-Saëns’ 2nd Piano Concerto, and Tuna Bilgin performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 22 with a cadenza written by İdil Biret.
