İdil drinking water crisis targeted for 2027 investment

AK Party Şırnak Deputy Arslan Tatar and İdil Mayor Türkan Kayır met at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to discuss long-standing infrastructure issues in the İdil district, specifically focusing on the drinking water crisis.

Tatar announced that while the drinking water project was previously included in the 2026 Investment Program, efforts are underway to ensure the construction phase is included in the 2027 Investment Program following the completion of preliminary studies by the end of this year.

In addition to the main project, Tatar stated that work has begun to drill four new wells to meet the district's water needs. Other planned local improvements include the Aşağı Mahalle Stream Improvement and Landscape Project, for which tender permit processes have already been initiated.
