Idlib launches Al-Nahda residential project with 3,000 apartments

The Syrian Ministry of Public Works and Housing, in coordination with the Idlib Governorate, has launched the ‘Al-Nahda’ residential project in the southern part of Idlib city. Spanning approximately 340,000 square meters, the development will consist of 51 residential towers containing roughly 3,000 apartments, designed to accommodate about 15,000 residents.

The project utilizes a hybrid financing model intended to support affordable housing. According to Tamam al-Dubal, Director General of the General Housing Establishment, the development will include 1,000 investment units and 2,000 economic units. The revenue from the investment portion is intended to subsidize the economic units, which will be offered at cost.

The estimated price for a finished, turnkey apartment will not exceed $600 per square meter, including infrastructure, elevators, solar energy, and gas systems. Payment plans are set to span five years via semi-annual installments and monthly payments. For example, a 100-square-meter apartment is expected to have monthly installments not exceeding $200. The project aims to alleviate urban pressure in Idlib and meet the housing demands of returning displaced families.
