Idol contestants prepare for live broadcast phase

The TV4 singing competition ‘Idol’ is entering its live broadcast phase with 16 contestants remaining. Saga Uvemark, a 22-year-old from Malmö, has been identified by jurors Oliver Norqvist and Anders Bagge as the frontrunner to win the competition.

Uvemark, who works as an assistant nurse, stated she is grateful for the recognition but is not taking her status for granted. She noted that her professional background helps her remain calm under pressure. Another notable favorite is 23-year-old Ella Magnusson from Karlstad.

The competition format for the upcoming week involves eight contestants competing in duels during the first weekly final. Only the winners of the duels, along with one additional person chosen by viewer votes, will advance directly to the next stage.
