Former Interior Minister İdris Naim Şahin has been placed under judicial control with a ban on traveling abroad following an investigation into the Alihan Kuriş criminal organization. The investigation, conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, centers on allegations that vehicles assigned to Şahin were used by members of the Süleymancılar group to facilitate criminal activities, including the kidnapping of Hilmi Tuna Kuriş.

During his 3.5-hour testimony, Şahin denied involvement, claiming the vehicle used in the incident was rented from a company and utilized without his permission. Prosecutors have charged him with aiding a criminal organization and harboring a criminal. Investigators also identified two other vehicles registered to Şahin that were allegedly used by individuals linked to the Kuriş network.
