Idriss Chahtan calls for judicial ruling on allegations by Mohamed Ouzzine
Idriss Chahtan, director of Chouf TV and president of the National Association of Media and Publishers, has called for a judicial resolution to serious allegations made against him by Mohamed Ouzzine, Secretary General of the Popular Movement Party.
The accusations leveled by Ouzzine include the exploitation of minors, ownership of a villa in the Anfa district, and the organization of illicit parties. Chahtan has responded by stating he is willing to face the judiciary and accept the maximum legal penalties if any of these claims are proven true. He has characterized the allegations as defamation and has requested that the courts expedite his own complaints against Ouzzine and others involved if the claims are found to be baseless.
The National Association of Media and Publishers has expressed solidarity with Chahtan, viewing the accusations as exceeding the bounds of professional or political disagreement. The dispute, which began over media-related issues and escalated through social media, is now shifting from public rhetoric to a formal legal confrontation where the burden of proof rests on the accuser.
