Yacine Idriss Diallo re-elected president of Ivorian Football Federation

Yacine Idriss Diallo has been re-elected as the president of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) for a second four-year term. During the elective general assembly held in Yamoussoukro, Diallo, who ran as the sole candidate, secured 123 weighted votes out of 149 expressed, representing approximately 74% of the total.

His first mandate was highlighted by Côte d'Ivoire winning the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. For his second term, Diallo aims to focus on the professionalization of local clubs and the long-term sustainability of the sport's recent successes.

In other news, Abidjan is preparing to host the 25th World Congress of the Omei from November 9 to 14, 2026, under the theme of “World Peace.” The event seeks to establish the city as an international platform for discussing contemporary conflicts.
