Loris Peršurić, president of IDS, stated that Hajdaš Dončić’s suggestion that recalling Prime Minister Andrej Plenković is more important than addressing the environmental crisis in Gospić is unacceptable.

Peršurić emphasized that IDS prioritizes the health and safety of citizens over political maneuvering. He argued that responsible politics should focus on urgent remediation and holding those responsible accountable rather than using the situation for political gain. IDS also criticized Hajdaš Dončić’s rhetoric, specifically his ‘us or the mafia’ comment, suggesting it undermines serious political processes.
