IDS Imaging expands rugged industrial camera range with Sony STARVIS 2 sensors

IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH announced an expansion of its uEye FA series of industrial cameras. The new models incorporate Sony STARVIS 2 rolling‑shutter sensors with resolutions from 2 MP to 12.5 MP (sensor variants IMX662, IMX664, IMX675, IMX678 and IMX676). All cameras are IP69K‑rated, GigE Vision‑compliant and designed to operate reliably under high‑pressure cleaning, dusty conditions and temperatures down to –20 °C.

The sensors provide high light sensitivity into the near‑infrared range, low noise and a Clear HDR process for extended dynamic range, while an asynchronous exposure trigger further suits demanding machine‑vision tasks. “The combination of robust hardware and state‑of‑the‑art sensor technology enables precise image analysis even in challenging environments,” said Alexander Klingner, Head of Product Management at IDS. The expanded range becomes available from late July 2026.
