IED attacks in Pakistan kill driver and three brothers
Two separate improvised explosive device (IED) attacks in Pakistan have resulted in multiple fatalities.
In the Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, an IED targeting a police mobile van killed the driver, identified as Wajid, and injured six other personnel. The explosion occurred in the Ghol Banda area of Banda Daud Shah while the vehicle was traveling toward Sar Dargah. Provincial Information and Public Relations Minister Shafi Jan condemned the act as a cowardly attack on security forces.
In southwestern Pakistan, an IED blast in the Killi Bakhtiar Khan area of the Duki district in Balochistan killed three brothers: Rehmat Ullah, Naimat Ullah, and Atiqu Ullah. A fourth person was injured in the blast, which utilized approximately 15kg of explosives and destroyed the victims' vehicle. The victims were reportedly traveling to Tehsil Luni to investigate damage to solar panels on their agricultural land. While no group has claimed responsibility, authorities noted that separatist militant groups frequently operate in the region.
