IEEBC hosts forum on using play to strengthen civic education

The State Electoral Institute of Baja California (IEEBC) hosted a forum titled ‘El juego como aliado en el fortalecimiento de la educación cívica’ (Play as an ally in strengthening civic education) at the Universidad de las Californias Internacional (UDCI) in Tijuana.

The event aimed to foster dialogue regarding the use of games and playful materials as tools to promote citizenship, democratic culture, and social coexistence from an early age. The forum included a panel of experts from various academic and social sectors, including representatives from the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional and the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, who discussed strategies to make democratic values and principles more accessible and participatory for different developmental stages.
