IEEM urges respect for electoral calendar in State of Mexico

Amalia Pulido Gómez, president counselor of the Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM), has called on political parties and candidates to strictly adhere to the established electoral calendar. She clarified that although the formal process for renewing elected positions has begun, precampaign activities are not scheduled to start until January 21, 2027.

According to the official timeline, precampaigns will run from January 21 to February 12, 2027, followed by the registration of candidates between March 10 and April 7. The formal electoral campaigns are set to begin on April 29 and conclude on June 2, 2027. Pulido Gómez noted that the institute has already accumulated 106 files, primarily involving personalized promotion and potential premature electoral acts.
