IEQROO approves 2027 budget and local election calendar

The General Council of the Electoral Institute of Quintana Roo (IEQROO) has unanimously approved the Results-Based Budget (PBR) for the 2027 fiscal year. The total approved amount is 754,462,444 pesos, which includes 132,387,098 pesos allocated for public financing and prerogatives for accredited political parties.

The budget is intended to ensure the fulfillment of legal electoral obligations and institutional goals, covering both ordinary activities and the 2027 Local Electoral Process, as well as preparatory tasks for the 2028 Local Judicial Process.

Additionally, the Council approved the Comprehensive Plan and Calendar for the 2027 Local Electoral Process. This roadmap defines the timeline for the renewal of the governorship, local deputies, and the 11 municipal governments. The election day is scheduled for Sunday, June 6, 2027, with the formal start of the electoral process set for January 8, 2027.
