IES Clara J. Armstrong faces expanded investigation over fraudulent titles

Authorities in Argentina are expanding a criminal investigation into the IES Clara J. Armstrong following the discovery of irregular academic credentials. Education Minister Verónica Soria confirmed that the criminal complaint has been broadened as judicial investigations proceed.

Initial findings identified 35 titles with serious inconsistencies in various teacher training programs. However, union leaders suggest the scope may be larger, alleging that approximately 100 fraudulent certificates may have been issued dating back to 2018. A normalization commission has been appointed to regularize the institution and address delays in issuing legitimate diplomas.
