IF Elfsborg women qualify for Svenska Cupen group stage

The IF Elfsborg women's football team has qualified for the group stage of the Svenska Cupen following a 3-0 victory against Alingsås IF. This achievement marks a historic milestone for the IF Elfsborg women's side, as it is the first time they have secured a place in the tournament's group stage.

Stina Jensen opened the scoring in the 34th minute after an offensive press led to a turnover. Izabella Bergström doubled the lead in the 61st minute, capitalizing on a mistake by the Alingsås goalkeeper. Ellen Nilsson completed the scoring in the 79th minute following a play involving Elsa Burvall. The match, originally scheduled for a natural grass pitch, was moved to Alströmmervallen to be played on artificial turf.
