IFA Archipelago showcases South Kalimantan textiles in Banjarbaru

The Indonesia Fashion & Aesthetics (IFA) Archipelago held its inaugural regional event in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, on August 11, 2026. The event aimed to expand the IFA ecosystem by connecting fashion and beauty professionals with regional creative talents.

A central focus of the showcase was the promotion of Sasirangan, a traditional fabric from South Kalimantan. Local and national designers presented collections that integrated this traditional textile with modern fashion trends. Notable participants included designers such as VIVIZUBEDI, Ayu Dyah Andari, and brands like Buttonscarves.

In addition to fashion shows and exhibitions, the event included educational workshops and an awarding ceremony. Hj. Kathrin Ambarsari was recognized as ‘The Most Inspiring Sasirangan Designer’. IFA Archipelago is intended to become an annual event designed to support the growth of Indonesia’s creative industries and highlight regional cultural wealth.
