IFAB rule changes introduced for Lombardy amateur football

The Lombardy Regional Committee (CRL) has released a multimedia guide to assist teams, staff, and players in navigating new football regulations for the 2026/2027 amateur season. Produced in collaboration with the Italian Referees Association (AIA), the video aims to streamline the transition to new rules introduced by the International Football Association Board (IFAB).

The updates focus on reducing time-wasting and improving match fluidity. Key changes include Rule 3, which mandates that substitutions must occur within 10 seconds of a player leaving the pitch; failure to comply results in the substitute waiting at least one minute of effective play. Additionally, Rule 5 requires injured players receiving on-field treatment to exit the pitch and wait at least one minute before re-entering. Rule 12 also includes adjustments regarding advantages and yellow cards during goal-scoring opportunities.
