EurAfrican Forum 2026 in Portugal Highlights Africa‑Europe Cooperation
The ninth EurAfrican Forum took place on 15–16 July 2026 in Cascais, Portugal, under the theme “Africa Rising: Prosperity Through Global Cooperation.” Organized by the Portuguese Diaspora Council, the two‑day event brought together political leaders, business executives, investors, researchers and innovators from Europe and Africa.
Key sessions included an opening panel featuring António Calçada de Sá, Pedro Oliveira, Luís Almeida Capão and José Manuel Durão Barroso, followed by a conversation between the Presidents of Portugal and Mozambique, António José Seguro and Daniel Francisco Chapo. A dedicated discussion on “Strengthening Health Research through Global Cooperation” featured contributions from Michael Sheldrick, Ignasi López Verdeguer, Luis Jodar, Maria Mota and Marie Ange Saraka‑Yao, with closing remarks by Vivian Onano. The forum aimed to promote green and inclusive growth, identify impact‑investment opportunities and deepen strategic ties across economics, science, energy, infrastructure, technology and geopolitics.
